CHRISTIAN EDUCATION IN LAKE NONA A GO FOR FALL '09!

Greetings and thanks for visiting! Between October 2006 and January 2009 I worked hard to bring the vision of a new "from-scratch" Christian school in the Lake Nona area a reality. While there was certainly an enormous amount of interest in this, I simply wasn't able to generate enough support or resources to continue. Read my news page posted in January to learn more.

I met a lot of people and learned a lot of things over the past 2+ years. I'm grateful for all the interest, support and well-wishes I received along the way. Who knows what the future holds for LNCA. I truly believe God gave me the vision for a reason, and perhaps it will be revisited again one day.

In the meantime, I'm happy to announce there are plans by another school to have classes available in Lake Nona this fall! Orlando Christian Prep, one of Orlando's oldest and best-known Christian schools, currently offers FACCS-accredited preschool through 12th grade at their campus on Semoran Road near Lake Underhill. They have recently decided to relocate to the Lake Nona area. Over the next few years, while their new facility is being built, they have struck a rental agreement with Pioneers on Narcoossee Road (across from the new public high school) to offer elementary classes in modular buildings. They also hope to provide bussing for middle-schoolers to their current site.
